FINAL STOP CANCER BLOG BOOK TOUR!: Route 53
March 1, 2009
In the immortal words of the Hee Haw theme song, “So long we sure had a good time. So long, gee the company was fine…” Today marks the end of my “This Time’s a Charm Cancer Blog Book Tour.” I have been overwhelmed by the response from the tour and eternally grateful to all of the wonderful cancer bloggers who lent their personal time to join in.
To that end, we’re wrapping up the tour on one of our strongest bloggers yet. Erik Hom of http://route53.wordpress.com , has a great, engaging writing style. His story of his Valentine’s Day in Vegas with his wife was so descriptive I could actually “watch” it in my head like a movie.
Erik is a husband of a Breast Cancer survivor. His site is jammed full of useful links to helpful cancer content such as: “A Guide for Clueless Guys.”
Originally intended to be a travel advice website, his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after launching the site. As one can understand, a lot of his energy and time has been spent writing about his wife’s journey and experiences. I think he’s found his calling. IMO, there’s a much bigger need for a website that helps cancer patients and loved ones cope with crisis.

Thanks from all of us
Don,Thanks for having me as part of your book tour. I'm really glad I had the chance to read your book. You are an inspiration to us all: healthy, not healthy, young, old, black and white. If you give us anything out of your book, it is hope and the feeling that you can take charge of your life if you are up to the task. Erik http://route53.wordpress.com
