Hi everyone,

Most of you know me by now as someone who spends hours every day, outside of my regular job, online helping fellow cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. I am a four-time cancer survivor and an eternal optimist. I was so drawn to helping other people touched by cancer that I spent nearly five years of my life writing my book, entitled This Time’s a Charm; Lessons of a Four-Time Cancer Survivor.

I have heard nothing but amazing feedback from people who have read it. I have managed to inspire, motivate and crack up everyone who’s read my book. Patients that had previously given up on life have told me that my book gave them the courage and inspiration to start living, some for the first time in their lives.

But now something has happened and I find myself in a tough spot. I recently have been rediagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, for the 5-time. But please don’t misunderstand me; I am very confident that everything will be fine with me physically. I have a fabulous oncologist and we’ve selected a brand new treatment that should work wonders for me. But here’s the rub…

My day job is in Information Technology services. Given today’s economic crises, our business is down drastically. So much so, that I was just laid off last night. Talk about horrendous timing!
